Frequently Asked Questions
Getting started
What is Cipher Esport?
Cipher Esport is a platform for discovering and joining gaming tournaments and matches, managing teams, viewing results, and receiving event updates.
Do I need an account to use the website?
You can browse public tournaments, matches, guides, and support information without signing in. You need an account to create a team, register, save your player names, redeem rewards, or submit a support ticket.
How do I create an account or sign in?
Use the Register or Login link in the navigation. Use the email address and password associated with your account, and contact support if your credentials do not work.
What does IGN mean?
IGN means In-Game Name. It is the player name shown inside the game, not necessarily your Cipher Esport username or email address.
Profile and player names
Why do I need to save my IGN?
Organizers use your IGN to identify you in a game lobby and verify registrations. Saving it in your profile makes it available when you register for the relevant Free Fire or PUBG event.
Which IGN should I enter?
Enter the exact in-game name for the game you are joining. Check spelling, capitalization, spaces, and special characters because an incorrect IGN can make it difficult for an organizer to identify you.
How do I change my Free Fire or PUBG IGN?
Open your profile, update the field for the correct game, and select Save player names. Update it before registering so new registrations use the current name.
Can I use the same IGN for different games?
Save the name in the field for the matching game. Free Fire and PUBG names are stored separately because your in-game identity may be different in each game.
Teams and tournaments
How do I create a team?
Sign in, open the team creation page, enter a team name, choose Free Fire or PUBG, and submit the form. Check that the game matches the event you want to enter.
How do I join a team?
Ask the team organizer or captain for the team’s joining instructions, then use the available team or event registration flow. If you cannot join, submit a ticket with the team name and the exact error message.
What is the difference between a tournament and a match?
A tournament is a competition that may contain multiple rounds or matches. A match is an individual game event with its own schedule, participant limit, and result.
How do I register for a tournament?
Open Tournaments, choose an upcoming event, read its game, mode, start time, and slot information, then open View Details and follow the registration instructions. Registration may close when the event starts or fills its available slots.
Why can’t I register for a tournament?
Common causes are being signed out, using the wrong game or team, a full event, a closed registration period, or already having a registration. Read the event details first; contact support if the problem continues.
Matches, rooms, and results
Where can I find upcoming matches?
Open Matches and use the Upcoming, Ongoing, and Finished tabs. You can search by title, game, mode, or status.
Where are the room ID and password?
Open the relevant match from the Matches page and check its details. The organizer may publish room information shortly before the match, so check again if it is not available yet.
What should I do if I cannot enter the game room?
Confirm that the room ID and password are copied correctly, that you are joining the correct game and match, and that the room is open. If it still fails, submit a ticket with the match name and a screenshot of the error.
Where can I see brackets and match results?
Open the tournament or match details page. Published brackets and results appear there when the organizer has added them. Finished matches can also be found under the Finished tab.
What should I do if my result or registration status is wrong?
Submit a support ticket with the event name, your team or IGN, the status currently shown, the correction needed, and any screenshots or proof. This gives an admin enough context to review it.
Coins, rewards, and support
How do coins and rewards work?
Coins are an in-platform reward balance. Your profile shows your balance, and the Redeem page shows available voucher options, their coin cost, and how many are available.
How do I redeem a voucher?
Sign in, open Redeem Coins, select an available reward, and submit the form. A successful redemption displays a voucher code. Save or copy the code immediately.
Why can’t I redeem a reward?
Make sure you have enough coins and that the selected reward still has an available code. If the balance or redemption result looks incorrect, submit a ticket with the reward name and the message shown.
How do I submit a support ticket?
Sign in, complete the Subject and Description fields on this page, and include the event name, account username, IGN, exact error, and relevant screenshots or times. You can review your submitted tickets and replies here.
How quickly will support respond?
Response times depend on the issue and tournament schedule. Clear details help the team investigate faster. For urgent issues, email support@cipheresports.online as well as submitting a ticket.
